A Straightforward Website Refresh
The RISE Foundation is an immigration-focused pro bono initiative.
Their existing WordPress website had been built from a customized Elementor template. It provided a workable starting point, but responsiveness issues had developed across tablet and mobile layouts.
More importantly, the organization itself had evolved. Its name, messaging, and focus had shifted, and the website needed to catch up.
A Cleaner Foundation
This wasn’t a project that needed to be overcomplicated.
The goal was to create a faster, cleaner website that reflected RISE’s updated branding and clearly communicated its mission, giving, impact, volunteer opportunities, and news.
I rebuilt the site using Bricks for greater control over the design and responsive behavior, refreshed the existing visual direction, migrated the content, and improved the site’s structure across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
The rebuild also made ongoing publishing easier. Previously, news content had been manually created in Elementor without a proper archive. The updated site provides a more structured way to publish and manage new content.
The finished website includes a streamlined responsive design, easier content management, and structured backend management for information such as board and team members.
I continue to manage the website for RISE, handling maintenance, security, updates, and ongoing content edits.
